  I’ve started editing pictures and creating graphics for a collection of posters and clothing I plan on selling. I’m starting off with only posters in hopes that my clientele increases. The idea of the collective is to sell urban style creations based on fashion, music, and film. The poster will features famous artists from this field with rare photos of them that you wouldn’t be able to find just on google. I found a lot of these photos on tumblr and other blog sources. I edited the original photos in order to avoid copyright issues when I decide to mass produce and sell. These are a few of the edits I’ve created to far for the collection.

https://vimeo.com/334053703 After doing the video mashup for class I decided to start making a few more mash ups. This is a mashup of fight scenes from Huey and Bushido Brown, characters from a show called Boondocks. The mashup is made to another song I created using a music software called Logic and Abelton.

This is a design that I came up with for a clothing brand named Dirty Laundry . Dirty Laundry is a collective based of of New York City. They are a relatively new brand/collective. For this design I used a picture of one my favorite new R&B artist named Jorja Smith. I used an online application called Afterlight. Along with the picture or Jorja I used two separate pictures of the inside of a laundromat. I used an effect called overlay to place the pictures on top of each other to make them blend in. Making this graphic come to life was not as easy as it looked. I had to use many different adjustments to make the photos blend well together. The effect makes one of the pictures a bit transparent so that the picture in the back can bleed through just enough for you to see the multiple layers constructively.

This is an edit of Travis Scott’s recent concert in Houston Texas. This a design I would use on eithe r clothing or a wall hanging. This another one of the many overlay effect photos that I have created for an art collection that I am working on for profit. I used VSCO, PicsArt, and a free version of photoshop to help bring this edit to life. This is one of newer pieces that I have been working on. I am not sure yet if it’s finished… I can literally spend all day pinching at my work. This is where I am at with it so far.

This is a design I have been working on for a collective of graphic posters I plan to start. I plan on creating various poster graphics and ideas to sell in mass. This edit is a collaboration of two seperate pictures of rapper Young Thug from the same scene. Young Thug is both a rapper and fashion designer; he is well respected in the fashion world. In the shots Jeffery is seen at the VFILES Season 7 fashion show stopping a model on the runway. He calmly leaves his seat, enters the runway and fixes the models collar; he then retakes his seat. For me this was an unforgettable moment in fashion. This was not a planned incident. Jeffery was called on to mentor the designers for the VFILES show along with a list of well known fashion figures. During show he saw something with one of the pieces that he wanted to correct last minute. Album Review: Good Kid M.a.a.d City by Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar is one of the more well known rap artist of this generation. He has found recent success with making songs about current social issues going on in America. Lamar has a one of a kind sound along with a one of a kind creativity. He has released 5 official albums along with numerous mixtapes. His debut album titled Good Kid Maad City is still some of his best work. This album was written in the form of a story that his being narrated by Kendrick Lamar himself. The story loosely follows the upbringing of Kendrick Lamar sharing a lot of his personal experiences. He starts the album of with a smooth intro into his love life with the recurring girlfriend at the time. The name of the song is Sherane a.k.a. Master Splinter’s Daughter , in the song he speaks on how they first met over a melancholy beat as his he takes his time with each punishing flow. Migos is a rap group based out of North Atlanta that gained a huge following over the last decade. The group is made up of three cousins Quavo, Takeoff , and Offset. They made “trap” music a popular genre among rap artists. Quavo’s fashion collection titled Boohooman by Quavo hit online stores early in April. This collection features vibrant colors and eye popping color schemes. This an outgoing collection that matches the persona of Quavo. The collection is unique in how the schemes attack the eyes. It is a head turning collection that features tops, bottoms, shoes, and two piece jumpsuits. Quavo does a great job of offering luxury with an affordable price.
