Urban

This week I put together a project for Urban Landscape in the city of Toledo. This is a 30 second video previewing some of the shots I took while I was in the city. I used soft uplifting music to give the project a calm and relaxed feel. The music I chose also helps you focus more on the pictures because it is not a popular and distracting song. I took about 40 pictures while completing this project but I only really like the ones previewed on the short video. For the second part of this assignment I was to choose my favorite picture out of the collection and talk about the edits I made to it. For this picture I made the perspective very strong as an attempt to blur out the other objects in the background. I also used a B&W effect with an emphasis on red. I knew that the color from the fire hydrant would glow more with the surrounding objects being black and white. I also cropped the original imagine to get a closer look at the fire hydrant. This was one of my favorite pictures from the collection because of the color scheme. The white snow is blurred out so you might not be able to immediately tell that it is snow. But the white matches up with the white from the top of fire hydrant and I think the two compliment each other very well.

Young Thug Stops Fashion Show

This is a design I have been working on for a collective of graphic posters I plan to start. I plan on creating various poster graphics and ideas to sell in mass. This edit is a collaboration of two seperate pictures of rapper Young Thug from the same scene. Young Thug is both a rapper and fashion designer; he is well respected in the fashion world. In the shots Jeffery is seen at the VFILES Season 7 fashion show stopping a model on the runway. He calmly leaves his seat, enters the runway and fixes the models collar; he then retakes his seat. For me this was an unforgettable moment in fashion. This was not a planned incident. Jeffery was called on to mentor the designers for the VFILES show along with a list of well known fashion figures. During show he saw something with one of the pieces that he wanted to correct last minute. Poster Collective On The Way

  I’ve started editing pictures and creating graphics for a collection of posters and clothing I plan on selling. I’m starting off with only posters in hopes that my clientele increases. The idea of the collective is to sell urban style creations based on fashion, music, and film. The poster will features famous artists from this field with rare photos of them that you wouldn’t be able to find just on google. I found a lot of these photos on tumblr and other blog sources. I edited the original photos in order to avoid copyright issues when I decide to mass produce and sell. These are a few of the edits I’ve created to far for the collection.

Jorja Smith: Dirty Laundry

This is a design that I came up with for a clothing brand named Dirty Laundry . Dirty Laundry is a collective based of of New York City. They are a relatively new brand/collective. For this design I used a picture of one my favorite new R&B artist named Jorja Smith. I used an online application called Afterlight. Along with the picture or Jorja I used two separate pictures of the inside of a laundromat. I used an effect called overlay to place the pictures on top of each other to make them blend in. Making this graphic come to life was not as easy as it looked. I had to use many different adjustments to make the photos blend well together. The effect makes one of the pictures a bit transparent so that the picture in the back can bleed through just enough for you to see the multiple layers constructively.
